REFUGEE OUTREACH - FEBRUARY 2008
Page 3

Rudy arrived at 12:30 and we left immediately for bus station. The bus we needed to take was leaving at 1:30. The bus station was a little confusing, but after asking several times, we found the right ticket booth and located our bus. It was totally full. Our seats were about ½ way down aisle. I might mention that the aisles were so narrow you had to turn sideways to walk down them. The seats were tiny with no leg room. There was no air conditiong so all the windows were open and the hot air blew on us for a very long 5 & 1/2 hours. We were very glad when we pulled into the bus yard. Phu, Po Po, and driver were in the bus yard waiting for us. It was so good to see them again. I am always afraid that each time I see Phu it will be my last time.

Po Po had made up 2 cot beds for us and after a light supper and shower we were asleep by 9 PM. Neither of us slept very well. The TV was on all night in Phu’s room, and since the walls only go half way to ceiling, it sounded like we were right in the room with it.
