We arrived in Bangkok at 4:45 pm and sailed through customs! Once again the Lord was with us and we didn’t have to face bag searches. This is the first time I had flown into Bangkok in the daylight and was happy that Nan & Chris would get to see Bangkok at its worst! Our taxi driver got lost on the way to our hotel and it was almost 8 pm by the time we checked in.

An American friend of mine, Rudy, met us at hotel and gave me one of his cell phones to use while over there. We had iced tea and visited until 10 pm. He and 2 friends of his, a man from England and a Scottish monk were going to share our van to the border town of Mae Sot. Rudy made arrangements for the van to pick us up at 10:00 AM on the 18th.
